Flouride Compounds

What are people's opinions on the fluoridation of water for example?

Apart from the appalling ethics behind unsolicited mass medication, I don't think putting a highly toxic compound, however dilute, in water for the benefit of a few people too lazy to brush and floss, or too stupid not to eat and drink grotesque amounts of sugar because they don't read the fucking food labels, in the hopes it will stop teeth falling out of their ignorant heads, should even be legal.

The Fluoride Deception makes for very interesting reading on the subject.

Is the Sun primarily to blame for Global Warming

It has been observable for some time that
fluctuations
in solar output can have significant effects on terrestial surface temperatures.

The Sun's output has apparently been
increasing
for the best part of a century. So the question becomes; is CO2 production a side issue in global warming?
Could the human race possibly be heading for considerable global cooling in spite of increased CO2 levels, if this long-term solar peak drops off?

So should we stop shitting our pants quite so hard regarding CO2 production and global warming?

Snowboarding NOW!

I think that ribcap is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. It's nothing new, it's a fucking scrum cap( http://tinyurl.com/yh9szv ). If I was that worried I'd wear a helmet.

One of the local mountains opened up last weekend I think. I hope to get up, but it's like 50 or 60 bucks a day, plus gas for driving like an hour up and down the mountain. I think I will have to check out the smaller hills prices, but it is so tiny to where I've gone since I was like 10(sun peaks, 2nd largest resort in BC).

Snowboard Season and Christmas Near

Some cool things to ask for/gift ideas-
Ribcaps
Check out this site to see why these hats are better.

Airpod
Maybe not quite worth the money, but would be fun to try.

Burton wax iron
If you go a lot it's definitely worth buying, waxing is easy and improves riding a LOT. After riding without it, it feels like you're riding on oil, fast and slick.

Salomon Relay Bindings
Bindings with a cord to regulate the heel support tension, supposedly much more responsive.

Where do you store your food overnight when camping?

This can be a huge issue.

If I'm just car camping and the area isn't known to have an animal problem, then the food is stored in the car or on the campsite bench in a secure container or a cooler if necessary. It's definitely never brought in the tent, as it attracts animals.

Some places (Yosemite for example) however, have bears that will literally rip the doors off cars to get to the food. In situations like this it's a good idea to make what is called a bear bag. A bear bag basically a sack with all your food in it, with a rope on one end that you throw over a high tree branch so animals can't get to it. This is a very effective method. I've only heard one story about some fat rat that climbed down the rope and into the bag.
