Is the Sun primarily to blame for Global Warming

It has been observable for some time that
fluctuations
in solar output can have significant effects on terrestial surface temperatures.

The Sun's output has apparently been
increasing
for the best part of a century. So the question becomes; is CO2 production a side issue in global warming?
Could the human race possibly be heading for considerable global cooling in spite of increased CO2 levels, if this long-term solar peak drops off?

So should we stop shitting our pants quite so hard regarding CO2 production and global warming?
